Message from the Hotel Manager
I have lived here in Snæfellsnes with my wife and children for over 15 years, the peninsula has a powerful presence and immense beauty. I rise early to bake fresh bread a cakes at the hotel before welcoming our guests for breakfast and locals for coffee. We have become a hub for the locals that live in the area as well as a must stop for tourists exploring the area. Hótel Snæfellsnes is known for it´s warm and friendly staff, cosy coffee shop, delicious and varied menu and of course the cakes are sublime!
Restaurant & Café
Our team of highly trained staff offer Icelandic hospitality at it´s best with expert knowledge of the local area. Sustainability is also important to us and we work with local suppliers to make as little footprint as possible. We bake fresh bread and cakes on site each day and use fresh seasonal ingredients from local farmers to create mouthwatering dishes served daily in our restaurant and coffee shop, known locally as Vegamót (meaning crossroads in Icelandic).

Snafellsnes Peninsula
Snæfellsnes Peninsula should be on everyone’s bucket list. Explore the craggy craters, black beaches, vast gorges, dramatic volcanos, never ending lava fields and rock formations.
